New release by SOPHT

Sopht was never planned—it just happened, like a spark suddenly catching fire. One day in Berlin, Rae Spoon visited the studio. Alex played some of their tracks, Lianne Hall listened— and something shifted within her. That same day, she wrote lyrics and recorded vocals for three songs. From that moment on, the music just flowed.
Sopht is the non-binary pop project of musician Alexandre Decoupigny, now evolving into an open collaboration with renowned artist Lianne Hall. What began as Alex’s deeply personal solo project—a space to process profound transformation, gender discovery, ADHD, and complex love—has grown into Sopht Power, their first album together.
As non-binary elders in electronic music, Alex and Lianne weave shimmering, emotionally charged productions with haunting vocals and fearless old-school spirit. Their sound is both delicate and powerful, danceable yet deeply moving—music that invites listeners to pause, feel, and transform.
Together with visual artists Cyndcore and Aidan Rolls, they are creating Sopht World—an immersive, multimedia space where softness becomes strength and resilience is celebrated. Their debut EP will be released on Ickmachwelle Records, where Alex also works as a mentor and producer—marking the beginning of a new era of bold, emotional electronic pop music.

IMW is a label linked to the Berlin project Ick Mach Welle, which aims to push for inclusivity
in electronic music and culture. Expect frequent releases covering a wide range of styles.
